Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Our most commonly asked questions are answered below, but if you have any other questions please feel free to get in touch with our care management team.
01. What time do you open ?
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
02. What is a Housecall Doctor ?
Today, many doctors are bringing back the old practice of visiting patients in their homes. With house calls, older adults don’t have to go through the stress and difficulty of getting to the doctor’s office. And neither do you.
Another bonus is that these doctors usually spend more time with patients. You won’t have to fit all your questions into a 15 minute visit.
Just remember that housecalls aren’t for emergency situations (call Dubai Emergencies number 999 instead). They’re basically like a regular OPD visit.
03. What are the benefits of Housecall Doctor ?
Personalized Care - As opposed to the regular clinic or hospital visits, our visiting housecall doctor will give you more than 4 times the time for plenty of opportunity to review and discuss your health
Convenience and Infection Control - For non emergency conditions, Housecall Doctor is much convenient and safer than a clinic or hospital visit.
04. Are your doctors licensed ?
All our doctors are experienced, licenced General Practitioners and registered with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
05. How do I book a Home Visit by Housecall Doctor ?
Call our dedicated team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We will arrange for one of our GP Doctors and Nurse team to visit your location within 30-45 minutes or when convenient for you.
06. What can your doctors treat ?
Housecall Doctor is not suitable for emergency services. As with your GP, our Doctors can assess and treat acute minor ailments, prescribe medication or refer you to a hospital if needed.
07. What if I need further Medical Care ?
Our Doctors can refer to leading specialists in our partner hospital if needed for a outpatient consultation. We also make referal for hospitalization and emergency care as per the clinical condition to the nearest hospital with assistance from Dubai Ambulance Services.
08. How do Housecall doctor visits benefit older adults (seniors) and caregivers ?
Getting your older adult to the doctor’s office for an appointment can be difficult or sometimes impossible.
Whether they’re frail, can’t walk on their own, or have Alzheimer’s or dementia, getting out of the house is hard on both of you. Going to a doctor’s office can also expose seniors to germs or harsh weather.
We explain in below questions what a house call doctor is, what type of clinical scenarios they accept for a home visit.
09. What if I require lab tests to be performed?
Based on your clinical assessment the visiting housecall doctor may order laboratory tests. The sample will be collected by the Registered Nurse and transported to the nearest accredited laboratory facility. For routine laboratory investigations, results will be available in 6 to 8 hours.
10. What is your waiting time for House Calls ?
Typically once we accept a housecall, the medical team (doctor and nurse) move immediately to the patient location and reach there in 30 to 45 minutes
11. What payment methods do you accept ?
We accept payment by cash or by a debit or credit card.
